With reference to your letter of the 29th ultimo
(30049/27) enclosing a copy of a letter to the Foreign Office
on the subject of the importation of Benares opium into câo,
I am directed by Secretary Sir William Joynson-Hicks to enclose,
for the information of Mr. Decretary Amery, a copy of a letter
which he has addressed to the Foreign Office suggesting certain
modifications of the draft of the despatch proposed to be sent
to H.M. Minister at Lisbon.
